About Post-Self

The Post-Self universe is an open setting for exploring the ramifications of being able to create copies of oneself, of what it means to undergo individuation, of what it means to let memories build up and up and up within oneself. With five novels, four novellas, dozens of short stories, and plenty more besides, there’s story to explore spanning more than three centuries of history.

This instance of writefreely is intended for writing canon, partial-canon, and meta works about the Post-Self setting. It is a federated project, meaning that others can subscribe to your work from other ActivityPub services such as Mastodon.

Writing guidelines

This space is intended primarily for works related to Post-Self. That is not to say that you cannot write about other things! If you have, say, some stories about a setting that picks up on a lot of the same vibes as Post-Self, that is also perfectly welcome. If you want to blog about more personal things, also cool! Just a few notes:

• For Post-Self content: please mark content warnings, spoilers, and if the content is non-canon at the top of the post.
• For non-Post-Self content: make sure that it's clearly labeled as such, plus the above.
• For personal blogs: try to keep these as a separate blog, and then make sure that they are private, unlisted, or password protected.
